Summer Reading Home

*The following Summer Reading Requirements are to be completed before the 1^st day of school. 

9^th grade English I Honors & CCCA English I Pre-AP

• Great Expectations, by Charles Dickens
  • Students will discuss and write about the book the first few days of school

10^th grade English II Honors & CCCA English II Pre-AP

• To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee
  • Students should be ready to write a summary of each novel the first few days of school. 
• Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck
  • Students should be ready to write a summary of each novel the first few days of school. 

11th grade AP English III: Language & Composition  & 12^th grade AP English IV: Literature & Composition

There are no summer reading assignments for 11 or 12^th grades. However, students should be prepared to begin work immediately in the first day of class
