10^th grade English II Honors & CCCA English II Pre-AP

• To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee
• Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck

11th grade AP English III: Language & Composition 

• Thank You for Arguing – 4th Ed. by Jay Heinrichs. Only read chapters 1-15 and be ready for a test the first week of school. 
• Current Event Assignment

  • • Write 6 current event article summaries:

      - The articles must be from May, June, and July of this year. 

      - No sports or entertainment articles

      - The summaries should have two paragraphs. The first is the objective summary. The second is your opinion on the events in the article. 

      - The summaries must be TYPED, and they are due the first day of class. No electronic submissions will be accepted. 

      - The article does not need to be attached, but an MLA citation must be on the summary page. 

      - Each summary with its citation must be on a separate page. 

      - Please be aware that summaries will be checked for AI assistance and plagiarism.
